1. Bakers Acres Campground

If your main reason for wanting to take a camping holiday in New Jersey is because you want to spend some relaxing time amongst the famed pinelands, you may want to consider the Baker’s Acres Campground.

This campground has a reputation for excellence and has been operational since 1968.

The campground consists of more than 60 acres of spectacular pineland forest, and there are more than 300 motorhome sites. Many of these sites are equipped with water, sewerage, and electricity, and both back-in and pull-in sites are available.

Although this campground is ideal for relaxing, it is also close to popular attractions if you decide to venture out. Visitors can easily drive to the nearby Long Beach Island and Atlantic City or take a hiking trip through one nearby State Park.

Yet, if you’re a camper who wants to spend most of their time at their campground, you won’t be disappointed in the amenities on offer at Baker’s Acres. This campground has an arcade room, two swimming pools, a ball field, free hot showers, a stocked convenience store, a laundromat, and a playground.

Best of all, this campground is incredibly affordable for families as primitive sites start at only $45 for a camping day pass and $300 for a weekly camping pass. The RV daily sites with water and electricity cost approximately $50 for a day camping pass and $$330 for a weekly camping pass.

Times:

Check-in is from 02: oo pm until the campground office closes, and guests have to check-out by 01:00 pm.

Dates:

The Baker’s Acres Campground is open from the 28th of May until the 31st of October.

Rules:

• Military guests must show an active duty military ID for discounts to be applicable.
• Only one camping unit is allowed per site.
• Only one family is allowed per site.
• Campers need to be 21 or older to rent a campsite.

2. Beachcomber Camping Resort

If, so you might want to have a look at the Beachcomber Camping Resort. This family-owned resort has been operational for 46 years.

It is located in the Cape May region and is nestled on over 100 acres of beautiful land, including an expansive sandy beach.

There are many RV and tent campsites available, with some having full hookups. Unlike other camping resorts in New Jersey, the Beachcomber Camping Resort has numerous water sport activities.

Guests can relax by one of the three swimming pools, participate in fishing, and boating out on the water or take an afternoon swim in one of the two spring-fed lakes.

Additionally, campers can also look forward to an air-conditioned arcade room, a 21 and older clubhouse, a dartboard, a pool table, sparkling clean bathhouses, two modern laundromats, and a campground convenience store, and plenty more.

In New Jersey, Can You Camp On Public Hunting Land?

In New, Jersey hunters are allowed to camp on public hunting land.

However, they are not allowed to camp on hunting lands in this state for more than 21 consecutive days.

Additionally, the public hunting lands are managed by the New Jersey Department of Fisheries and Wildlife in this state. Each hunting land area has special rules and regulations that hunters need to abide by.

Interestingly, unlike in other states, New Jersey hunting lands have excellent facilities, including furnished restrooms, fresh drinking water, toilets, and security.
