4 Class A & C Motorhomes with KING-SIZE BEDS (With Pictures!)

Downsizing is a great way to test your limits when it comes to finding out what you can live without.

However, there are plenty of misconceptions surrounding the process of downsizing.  One common thing people think is that downsizing means that you are completely committing to the tiny lifestyle.  But, this isn’t necessarily always the case.

For example, you don’t have to settle for a cramped twin bed just because you are downsizing.  You should be able to live your life as comfortably as a king! We’ve looked into four of the best King-Sized RVs out there right now and have listed them here for you!

Not only can you have amazing life experiences, but you can also do it in comfort and style!

Thor Motor Coach Miramar 2020

This beautiful Class A motorhome has everything that you would expect from a luxury RV.  Most notably, it has an amazing king-sized bed that is the perfect place to melt into at the end of a long day.  But, how do they fit such a large bed into a small space?  The answer is simple – with creative floorplans and a little bit of ingenuity.

The king bed is located right above the sky bridge of this model.  The sky bridge is the long hall of the RV located on the “main level”.  Because this RV has an above average height, you can expect more than enough room for luxurious amenities.

The measurements of this sleeping bed are 72″ x 76″ which means that you and your partner will have plenty of room to stretch out.

One of my favorite things about this Class A model is that there are plenty of other places to sleep.  Sometimes to make up for having a large bed, you have to sacrifice other common spaces.  But, not with this Miramar model!  Along with the king-sized bed, you can also find a large sofa as well as a convertible dining bench.  This way you can have plenty of guests joining you while you seek adventure on the road.

Thor Four Winds 27R

Another Thor model that comes fitted standard with a king-sized bed is the 2020 Thor Four Winds 27 R.

Four Winds is a popular model among RV travelers.  This is because these models are much more compact which also means they are more affordable for average households.

It also feels like you’re driving a truck instead of a long bus.  This makes this model great for all travelers from beginners to veterans!

Overall, this RV will comfortably sleep up to five people.  The king-sized bed measures at 60″ x 74″ giving everyone enough room to sleep well.  Instead of finding this bed at the top level of the RV, you can find it right on the side.  This is a traditional-style “pop-out” room.  This means that you can open up the RV to give yourself more room when not in motion.

One of the things that set this RV apart is that there is a totally different sleeping area built right in.  Above the driving area of the RV, there is a loft area that features a full-sized mattress.

This is one of the features that make this RV great for families.  Along with the full bed, there is also a jack-knife sofa as well as a transformable dining bench.  When it comes to sleeping in the Four Winds 27R, you and your guests have plenty of comfortable options!

2020 Tiffin Allegro 450PP

If you are in the market for a luxury-style RV that also features an amazing king-sized bed, the 2020 Tiffin is right up your alley!  My favorite part about this Class A model is that it comes fitted with a king-sized memory foam mattress.  Not only that, but you also have the option to upgrade to a power smart king bed.

But, what is a “power smart king bed”?  A power smart bed is one that you can control from either a remote or an app on your phone.

This allows you to adjust the height of the back of the bed as well as the firmness.  This will help to elevate your king-sized bed game to give you a customized sleep.  Best of all, the settings can be changed for each side of the bed which means that you and your partner can sleep just how you like to.

This model is perfect for people who are traveling with a large family or with guests.  This is because there are up to six places to comfortably sleep.

However, the king0sized bed is really where it is at when it comes to comfort!  While this is one of the more expensive models, it has everything you would expect from a luxury model.

2020 Jayco Greyhawk

The last Rv on our list is the 2020 Jayco Greyhawk.  This is a great option for families looking for an adventure without having to re-finance their homes!  The one stand-out of this RV is how much room it actually has.  This is surprising since it is the same size as most traditional RVs that are not buses.

One thing to note about this model is that the king-sized bed is an optional upgrade.  This means that you will have to pay a little bit extra for this feature or you can go with the standard queen-sized bed.  This small exchange, however, does not impact the size of this RV as a whole.

The bed is located right over the driving cabin and can hold up to 750 lbs.  This gives you and your partner more than enough room to spread out comfortably.

I love how the ceiling of this RV tops out at over 7 feet.  This helps to keep the space feeling open.  When you’re not bumping your head on cabinets, you’re more likely to feel like you’re in a traditional house.

Perks Of Having a King-Sized Bed!

You may be asking yourself – why would I need a king-sized bed while living on the road?  The answer is simple!  There is no sacrifice for comfort.  However, if you still need some convincing, I have some major perks for you to consider.  Here are some of the best perks of having a king-sized bed while living in an RV.

Home Away From Home

It is important to remember that not everyone buys an RV just for summer travels.  Some people choose to live full-time in an RV instead of a more traditional house.  There are many different reasons for this.

Sometimes it is for work, but many times it is just a personal preference.  So, whether you are looking for a steady gig or just committing to a full-time downsized life, a king-sized bed is the way to go.

This is one of the best ways to turn your RV from a rolling home to a place that you are excited to call your own.  Just because you are living on the road does not mean that you can’t do so with comfort.

As long as space allows, having a king-sized bed gives you the perfect place to fall asleep after a long day of seeking adventure.

Family Nights

One thing that was important to me while furnishing my house was finding creative ways to get some quality family time in.

This is why for us, the bigger the bed the better!

Having a king-sized bed while traveling on the road is a great way to continue the tradition of family movie nights.  Better yet – having an epic family night while sleeping under an unfamiliar sky sounds like the best way to bond.

Since the weight limit of these king-sized RV beds is so high, you and the entire family can easily fit in one of these beds.

Final Thoughts

There is no rule in the downsizing guideline that says that you can’t have a certain level of luxury and comfort.  As long as you are still trying your best to live a more minimalized life, you are doing a great job!

So, don’t worry about compromising too much of your precious room for a larger-sized bed.  These RVs have used creative ways to offer a larger bed as well as all of the amenities you will need while living on the road.

Even if a larger bed isn’t on your checklist of things you need, you should still check them out!  You may be surprised to find how a little change like the size of your bed can give you more “homestyle” comforts – even when you’re not at home.

So, get out there and live your best king-sized life!  Good luck.
