A Tiny House Resort
Renting from a resort is much easier than getting a tiny house permit and parking your own on a lot.
The name of this resort reminds me of the days when businesses used to claim names that started with the letter “A” so that they could be listed first in the telephone book. Interestingly enough, A Tiny House Resort’s website is usually the first result that comes up when you do a Google search for “tiny house resorts.”
This resort is located in New York’s Catskills region, so it’s close to most of the large cities found along the northeastern section of the country.
There is a multitude of tiny homes to choose from at this location, which includes the Mizu, Lux, Vista, Flat, Lodge, Little Bear, Oki, Mocha, Green Bean, and Boho tiny houses.
Within these homes, you’ll find kitchens, full-size bathrooms, flush-toilets, wifi, and television. Outside of each home, you’ll find a gas barbecue grill and a fire pit, as well as a private patio.
You’ll also find a wide range of on-site amenities too. These amenities include hiking trails, waterfalls, kayaks, floating rafts, and an in-ground heated pool. To top this all off, you’ll also be able to pick fresh vegetables from the garden, and you’ll be able to eat fresh eggs provided by the chickens that live on-site at the resort.
Canoe Bay Escape Village
Canoe Bay Escape Village is said to be the first tiny home village in the Midwest. It’s located on over 100 acres of land in the northwestern part of Wisconsin. This land is full of wooded areas, private lakes, and wetlands.
The nice thing about this village is that you can rent tiny houses in the village and you can buy them there as well. This is great because you get a chance to try out your home before committing to buy it.
There are both stationary tiny homes on foundations and tiny homes on wheels that you can choose to stay in or buy. Prices are also reasonable, and you can rent a tiny home for as little as $125.00 a night.
Each home comes with modern luxuries like microwaves and USB charging outlets. They’ve also placed books, sketch pads, and pencils in many of the homes as well.
Within the village, you’ll find hiking trails and private lakes that you can recreate in and around.  There is also a little country store, so you never have to leave the resort if you don’t want to.

Fireside Resorts
Fireside Resorts positions itself as a luxury camping destination. It has a multitude of small cabins and tiny homes that you can rent in two-day increments.
Prices start out at $350 for two days. On top of this, you can also rent 4×4 jeeps for just $50.00 a day.
The resort is located near Jackson Hole Wyoming, which sits next to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, so there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby to enjoy.
Tiny home options to choose from are the Wedge Cabin, Road Haus, Caboose Cabin, and Mod Wedge. If you’ve been researching tiny homes, you’ve probably already seen some of these homes as they’re more than Instagram worthy.
All tiny homes include their own private outdoor spaces with private fire pits. You’ll also find all of the usual amenities that you’d find in a luxury hotel like dishwashers, coffee makers, and large refrigerators and microwaves.
A nice feature of the tiny homes is that these tiny homes can also be purchased from the manufacturer that makes them. Try the tiny house out at Fireside Resorts and then go buy it if you like it.

Getaway Catskills
Getaway Catskills is another tiny house resort that can be found in the state of New York. This actually makes a lot of sense since a tiny house really isn’t any smaller than your average New York City apartment, so locals gain a lot of outdoor space without sacrificing any indoor space.
There are two different tiny houses to choose from at this resort. The first type is a cabin built for two people, and there are ten of them available for rent. It features a queen-size bed at ground level so you won’t have to deal with climbing into a loft.
The second tiny house is built for four people, and it has a set of queen bunks with the upper bunk built as a loft rather than a traditional bunk. This means you aren’t going to feel the people moving above and beneath you like you would in a traditional bunk bed.
Within the resort, you’ll find lots of outdoor space as the 12 tiny homes are spread out over a total of 20 acres. Located near the resort, you’ll find ample hiking trails, waterfalls, and arboretums to explore.
You can also find some amazing tiny home festivals in this area while you are vacationing and living the tiny life!
If you’re not interested in visiting New York, the company also has resorts in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Portland, and even Washington DC. Prices start at $179.00 a night.
Leavenworth Village
Leavenworth village is a tiny house resort located in Leavenworth, Washington. It’s unique in that it has a German theme to it. All of the tiny homes look like they could be found in an old Bavarian town.
There are a total of five tiny homes to choose from, including the Belle, the Adeline, the Hanna, the Rudolf, and the Otto.
Each home is unique, and the sizes range from 180 square feet to 300 square feet.
One of the best features of this resort is the views. The homes face a lake and are surrounded by the beautiful Cascade Mountains.
The resorts are also open year-round, so there are plenty of opportunities for enjoying winter weather activities. In fact, the resort says that there are 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails right across the street from the resort.
If you like the idea of a themed tiny house resort but aren’t interested in visiting the state of Washington, you’ll be pleased to know that the company also offers tiny home resorts in Tuxbury, New Hampshire, and Mt. Hood, Oregon.
Prices range from $129.00 to $149.00 a night.

Tiny Estates
One of the least expensive tiny house resorts can be found in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. It’s located right in Lancaster county, so there are plenty of tourist attractions nearby but not much going on in town. This is great for people looking to get away without risking boredom.
There are a ton of tiny homes to choose from, and the styles range from modern to rustic, so there is something for everyone. Some of the homes will be close to their neighbors, while others will have a lot of empty space around them as well as views of the lake, so it’s worth asking about before you decide which one to book.
I like that the resort has small tiny homes to offer for rent. This would give people looking to build a tiny traveling home the chance to test out living in one before getting started with their build.Â
Some of the tiny homes are only 20 feet long, so they could easily be towed across the country with an average-sized truck.
Another advantage of having small tiny homes available for rent is the fact that it gives the company the ability to offer homes for rent at low prices. In fact, you can find tiny homes for rent at Tiny Estates for as little as $75.00 a night.
Tumbleweed Tiny House Company
Tumbleweed Tiny Homes both sell and rent out tiny homes. They also have multiple locations throughout the United States. One of their most popular locations is the one found in Willis, Texas.
This location offers two different styles for rent. One is the Cypress, and the other is the Elm. They’re both 26 feet long, and they both sleep a total of four people within two beds.
The rental cost for both of them is $140.00 a night.
The homes are situated right alongside waterfront property, and you’ll be able to go boating or fishing on the lake.  In fact, there is even a bait shop located right along the water nearby.
If you end up really enjoying your stay in the tiny home, you can have one ordered from the company at prices ranging from $80,000.00 to $90,000.00
