Electronic bicycles sure are a convenient and efficient way to get from point A to point B, and get in some exercise at the same time, to boot!
However, if you’ve got a long commute, if you’re new to cycling in general, or if you’re a pro tackling the toughest, roughest trails, you’re going to want a comfortable seat.
If your bike and its seat aren’t optimized for comfort, you could end up in the unenviable situation of completing your commute with a sore rump, and nobody wants that.
So with that in mind, today we’re taking a look at the most comfortable e-bikes and bike seats we can find!
Most Comfortable e-bikes:
Since the seat is part of the bike you can remove, replace, and upgrade, the most comfortable seat you could have isn’t necessarily the one that ships with your bike.
For that reason, we’re dividing this list into two categories: the most comfortable bikes, and the most comfortable seats.
We’ll dive into the former category first, looking for qualities like a comfortable riding position, adjustable handlebars and seat height, and so on.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt if the bike comes pre-installed with a big, cushy, comfortable seat, but our primary focus here will be the other intrinsic qualities that make the bike comfortable.
1. Revi Bikes: Cheetah Cafe Racer
A stylish eBike imitating the iconic cafe racer motorcycles originating in 1960s London, this bike’s comfort features are as top-notch as its aesthetic sensibilities.
Of particular note is the fact that this bike comes pre-installed with a wide, soft saddle that should feel comfortable to most users once accustomed.
While many bikes on this list may not necessarily start out with the best seats, it certainly doesn’t hurt when they do!
As for the other comfort features we’re interested in, the seat is oriented in an upright riding position that most users should find ergonomic and comfy.
The seat is adjustable for riders of varying heights and builds, and the handlebars are nice and wide, though they do not appear to be adjustable.
And not only is it comfortable, but it’s also a powerhouse to boot, with a 750W Bafang motor and a top speed of 28 mph.
The Cafe Racer also features thick, durable tires equally at home on city streets and mountain trails, so you can ride in comfort almost anywhere you like.
The only downside, comfort-wise, is that the Cheetah has a relatively high frame, so it’s not necessarily the easiest to mount.
However, this is a tradeoff for performance, because it means the bike frame remains very sturdy and durable.
This beauty will run you between 2 and 3 thousand USD and should be worth every penny with its uncompromising combination of style, comfort, and top-notch performance.
2. Charge Bikes: Comfort 2 Step-Thru
As the name implies, the Comfort 2 Step-Thru by Charge Bikes is built for ease of use and comfort at every level.
This bike has a very low step-thru frame; you barely need to lift your leg at all to saddle up.
While a step-through frame will always be a tradeoff of less durability for more comfort, the Comfort 2 remains quite sturdy and should be more than durable enough for casual use.
The tires are nice and wide, the seating position is upright, and you can even add a child seat to the rear frame!
As for the seat itself, Charge Bikes claims it’s very comfortable, though it appears somewhat basic to us. Not to worry though, if the seat doesn’t meet expectations, it can be replaced.
With a 250W motor and a 20mph top speed, you can snag this all-purpose comfy bike for under $2,000.

3. Aventon: Pace 500.2
Like the Revi Cafe Cruiser, the Aventon Pace combines style, performance, and comfort into one sleek, attractive package.
In this case, the aesthetic is more modern and sporty, with sleek lines and contrasting colors.
As for comfort, it features an ergonomic upright riding position, and both the seat height and handlebar width are adjustable.
With thick, puncture-proof tires, your comfort is even less likely to be interrupted by a flat tire or bumpy roads or trails.
The included seat seems soft enough and is likely reasonably comfortable, but probably not the best either; but not to worry, it can be replaced!
It also comes in both step-through and step-over frame options, so you can choose for yourself whether to prioritize stability or ease of mounting.
With a range of 40 miles and a top speed of 28mph, this all-rounder of an e-bike is practically a steal, running between 1 and 2 thousand USD.
4. Lectric Bikes: XP Lite
If you’re on a budget, this one’s for you; this is the only bike on this list you can get for under $1,000!
Folding bikes might not strike you as the most comfortable ride, and in general, you might be right.
That being said, the XP Lite appears to have made it its mission to be the most comfortable folding e-bike on the block, and it has succeeded!
With an upright seating position, wide handlebars, and the ability to pay an extra hundred for a giant comfort seat, you might even forget you’re riding a folding bike.
With a surprisingly powerful 750W motor and a 40-mile riding range, this is hands down one of the best budget-friendly eBikes we’ve seen.
5. Gazelle Bikes: Arroyo C8 HMB Elite
And of course, this list would not be complete without an entry from Gazelle Bikes, one of if not the best eBike manufacturers worldwide today.
At $3,700, it’s certainly not cheap, but boy do you get some serious bang for your buck if you can afford it.
Not only does it come pre-installed with a wide, soft, comfy seat in an upright position, but nearly everything is adjustable to boot.
- Handlebars too wide or too narrow? You can adjust that.
- Seat too low or too high? You can adjust that too.
- Don’t like the angle of the bars? You guessed it, it’s adjustable.
It also features an extremely easy-to-mount step-through frame.
While there’s always some tradeoff for stability with step-through frames, Gazelle’s commitment to quality means this is one of the sturdiest you’re likely to ever see.
Overall, the Arroyo C8 HMB Elite is optimized for comfort and ease of use in almost every way, whether or not the powerful Bosch motor is turned on.
While all e-bikes can be theoretically used as regular pedal bikes with the motor off, it’s rare to find one that handles comfortably with or without the motor, a feat this bike manages beautifully.
Most Comfortable Seats:
And now, we come to the seats themselves.
Most bicycles, electronic or otherwise, have removable seats, meaning you always have the option of purchasing a new seat and swapping it in for the old one.
This means that if you can’t find the perfect bike with both a comfortable overall design and a comfortable seat, don’t worry; you don’t have to!
All you have to do is find a bike with an overall comfortable design that meets your needs and then pick out the perfect comfy replacement seat as the cherry on top.
With that in mind, let’s go over some of the most comfortable bike seats on the market!
1. Gincleey Comfort Bike Seat
Gincleey makes a nice wide, soft bike saddle made with memory foam, that wonderful material that conforms to the shape of your body, instead of making you conform to it.
The seat also features a ventilation gap in the middle and is shaped ergonomically to prevent your thighs from rubbing together and chafing while you cycle.
Shock absorption adds an extra layer of protection which, when combined with the soft memory foam, should yield a particularly comfy, cushioned riding experience.
As an added safety feature, the seat has a red reflective warning strip that, when used with bike lights, improves your visibility at night, helping prevent accidents.
Designed with equal comfort in mind for a variety of ages and body types Gincleey’s Comfort Bike Seat should improve just about anyone’s riding experience.
At only $17 this excellent comfort seat is practically a steal!
2. VELO SD Saddle
The VELO SD is a well-padded, extra-soft, and oversized bike saddle with excellent shock absorption.
It differs from the rest of the entries on this list in that it lacks a ventilation gap, so if that’s important to your comfort, you can skip this one.
That being said, it makes up for this particular deficiency by being one of the most thoroughly-padded oversized saddles we’ve seen.
Not only that, but its shock absorption is a cut above the rest, with a chrome bar and twin-spring suspension system.
Overall, if you want a big, comfy seat that will cushion you from the roughness of the road, it’s hard to go wrong with the VELO SD.
This saddle upgrade will cost you about $70, a small price to pay for such luxurious comfort.

3. Wittkop Bike Seat
Wittkop’s replacement bike seat is smaller than most of the entries on this list, but that could be a plus for some users.
Bigger isn’t always better; it all depends on your particular physique and needs.
For those who feel more at home on a narrower saddle but desire comfort features like ventilation, good padding, and shock absorption: this one’s for you.
As for ventilation, it does that better than any other entry on this list, with a perfectly-sized gap right between the legs.
It can be embarrassing to talk about, but a common source of discomfort for many bikers, of all genders, is the tendency for sweat to collect in one’s thigh region.
This is where ventilation comes in, allowing a comfortable current of air to pass through where you need it the most to prevent sweat from pooling.
Not only that, but the foam padding and shock absorption are nothing to sneeze at either, offering you an excellent overall comfort experience at only $40!
4. Giddy Up! Comfortable Bike Seat
With three different sizes to suit almost anyone’s needs, the Giddy Up! Comfortable Bike Seat lives up to its name in almost every way imaginable.
Like the Gincleey Comfort Seat, Giddy Up!’s seat features a healthy dose of memory foam, ensuring that your seat conforms to you and not the other way around.
It’s also very well-ventilated, and the shock absorption leaves little else to be desired, either.
All this combined with the ability to choose between multiple sizes for your particular needs makes it one of the best comfort seats we’ve seen.
Depending on your choice of size, this saddle will run you from just under to just over $40.
