------- NEW PODCAST -------
Maria started a new podcast about simple living, faith, decluttering, etc.
It can be quite challenging to design a room with two beds in it because of space restrictions. Fortunately, nothing is impossible in the realm of interior design.
So, here are 24 small rooms with two beds that prove that you can get the best of both worlds – double the bed and double the style!
Elegant Built-In Gray Bunk Bed

First up is this relaxing gray bedroom with an inspired bunk bed design. It resembles a loft and is built into the room instead of being a stand-alone structure.
Having different orientations for each bed also shows an interesting use of the space. Additionally, each bed has niches in its wall in place of a nightstand.
I love the linens and bedding they used on the beds, they look so soft and homey!
White L-Shaped Kids’ Beds

Moving on, we also have some amazing ideas for kid’s rooms! Catering to more than one child is difficult as is, so don’t complicate things more with a messy bedroom!
Instead, maximize their space with L-shaped beds that give each child a sufficient resting place and leave tons of room on the floor for them to play in.
Consider getting a fun design with a frame like this and built-in shelves for their books and toys too.

When they’re no longer toddlers, the same concept with a different design will work better. For example, this white L-shaped bed has a slightly more mature design but the same amount of space-saving power.
The bed frame has several compartments in its base to provide more storage for each child. You can also display a few of their things on the ledges.
I can’t help but appreciate the little seating area at the end of the bed. Such a cute way of incorporating seating!
Little Girls’ Dollhouse Bunk Bed

Make every little girl’s dream come true with this life-sized dollhouse bed design! It has another L-shaped bed but also comes with a delightful loft above the beds.
It takes the L-shaped bed design up a notch by optimizing the space above it with a thematic loft where they can daydream and play.
This creative hack knows no limits, switch up the themes according to your child’s liking like making it a princess castle, an under-the-sea motif, or a lovely farmhouse design.
Kid’s Playroom Loft Bed Design

We can see the same layout in this bedroom but with added playroom features such as a slide and a playpen above the beds.
The loft has a roped enclosure to secure their safety when playing. They can also ride around the room on the wooden bike or ride down the slide.
They’ll surely fall asleep in no time after using up all of their energy playing around this fun-filled space.
Wooden Cabin Bunk Beds

Now, we’ve got a few cozy cabin-like designs to transport you to a warm and restful environment.
Of course, a cabin design involves a ton of wood. For a bright and fresh aesthetic, go for one of a lighter material and match it to the bunk beds!
These bunk beds also have a few drawers in their foundation and built-in wall shelves so you can maintain a neat bedroom.

This design focuses more on the bunk bed itself and makes it the central focus of the room with its stylish layout.
It’s the perfect combination of comfort and innovation with its cozy cabin beds, stark black drawers, and a cool zig-zag shelf!
This kind of bed is what’s going to make all of the neighborhood kids jealous! Your kids would also be quite proud to have such a creative structure in their room.

Meanwhile, this bunk bed is the closest to an actual cabin design with its raw wood look, and built-in beds, not to mention the framed bear!
The dark blue accents liven up the interior with a striking pop of color against an otherwise tranquil aesthetic.
The steel ladder may be sturdier but they can also be a bit slippery. So, make sure you reinforce them to be safer.
Blue And White Design With Stair Storage

Now this pleasant home has a fresh and airy ambiance with refreshing hues of blue and white all over. Another highlight is the simple and elegant bunk beds that follow the same color scheme.
You can find several storage units around the room: under the bed, in the stairs, and built into the wall!
If you’re tired of lying down, just head onto the window, grab a good book, and take a seat while you have a nice view of the outside.
Dainty Kids’ Room With Slanted Ceiling

How about those rooms with angled ceilings? The trick is to use the layout to your advantage. In this instance, the shelves separating the two beds follow the slant of the ceiling to maximize every inch for storage.
The shelves also act as a partition so each child can have their own privacy when they’re in their beds.
Paint some stars with glow-in-the-dark paint on the ceiling or use the stickers so they can bask in a starry night before bedtime.
Elevated Wooden Platforms

Or you can create an entire area of the room just for resting and lounging around. Elevating platforms create different spaces with designated functions which can result in an organized environment.
Here, one layer is for the bed and the other one can be for reading or quiet play. Either way, it’s an imaginative idea that enhances a small room.
You can also build several storage units on each platform.
Nursery With Wooden Cribs

This adorable nursery just so happens to fit two comfortable wooden cribs side-by-side, ready to welcome in two beautiful babies.
What matters most is crib placement since we could all have different sizes and types of cribs.
So, depending on the layout of the nursery, see which crib orientation would fit the place best.
Geometric-Themed Bedroom With Backlights

Let’s have some fun with shapes in this sharp geometric bedroom. First, wallpaper with triangular prints, geometric line art of a bear, and of course, the ravishing blue beds.
This is a design that could suit young tweens and teens. It also has some sleek backlighting with lined lights framing the bed and ceiling.
It was a good idea to have a sophisticated wall lamp for each bed too!
Blue Bedroom With Trundle

Now, this has to be the ultimate space-saving bed: the magnificent trundle. Trundles place two mattresses into one structure to make it a compact piece.
You just have to pull out the bottom compartment to reveal another comfy resting place.
It’s such a clever design that truly makes sure every inch is optimized. Remember to get a model with wheels underneath to make retrieving the second bed a smoother process.

In this little boy’s room, we see a simpler version of the design with just another pullout mattress. However, the design makes up for storage by having shelves on the upper bed frame.
Aside from the neat storage compartments, the mechanism of the trundle bed also allows your kids to have more floor space whenever they’re not in bed.
I suggest getting bins with labels for their toys so they can keep them tidily on the shelves.
Attic Bedroom With Twin Beds

Give your attic a newfound purpose and aesthetic by turning it into this wonderful bedroom! It’s a straightforward design with two charming twin beds and shelved headboards for each.
The muted color scheme makes it a comforting and relaxing space where you can easily catch some z’s. It also makes the room look more spacious.
I advise getting just a couple more plants to decorate the interior just so there are natural elements that can lessen any cramped ambiance.
Bedrooms With Fireplaces
This breathtaking all-white bedroom looks like it belongs in a vacation rental! The soft linens and lavish interior design make it feel anything but small!
You can have a scenic lakeside view, a cozy fireplace (with firewood storage), and a window ledge to rest on.
What more could you ask for?
The bare ceiling could really use a statement piece, so consider getting a chandelier or modern light fixture.
We have another stunning neutral bedroom also equipped with a built-in fireplace.
There’s nothing cozier than enjoying a warm fire in the comfort of your bed. But don’t limit the warmth to the flame, incorporate it into your interior design as well.
You can do so by using more natural elements and textures. In this room, there’s a rustic woven carpet for texture and depth and the wooden accents add more of the warmth.
This bedroom is on the sultrier side with a darker interior. It also boasts more firewood storage so you never run out!
You can actually store the firewood all around the fireplace, thanks to the storage units framing it.
The bed placement is another noteworthy aspect of the room. You have the luxury of choosing to lounge by the view or by the fire.
This modern rustic design emphasizes the fireplace placement. Here, it sits snugly between the two beds, defining the distinction.
It’s also a great way to make sure each person receives an equal amount of warmth from the embers.
However, I think it would be better if the beds were facing the fireplace instead. Then, you can also enjoy looking at the fire without being too close to it.
You can also go for a pristine all-white cabin for a warm and bright bedroom. The heavenly interior is a dream to come home to!
The fireplace is the main feature that adds contrast and interest to the space but for a completely uniform aesthetic, customize it with white tiles.
I think lining the ceiling with fairy lights or stringed light bulbs would make the room look so pretty and feel so romantic!
Window Reading Nook
We’ll also present a few designs that let you put in two beds and fit in a reading nook!
There’s nothing too brutal about this brutalist-inspired space, especially when it allows you to bask in a warm and cozy bed. At the end of the room, you can also read by the window.
The bed doubles as a reading nook so you get a 2-in-1 feature!
Up next is this refined gray aesthetic with a large picture window, a reading nook by it, and a place for your books under the seat.
Under-the-seat storage helps in maintaining the neat look of the room. Although, if you need more storage consider mounting a few shelves on the wall or installing a wall niche.
I recommend placing a few houseplants and flowers to add a bit of cheerfulness to the room.
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about apartment bedrooms. This last design cleverly places two beds parallel to each other in a narrow apartment, which maximizes the length of the area.
Additionally, the comfy cushions by the window can pass for a smaller bed or a reading nook you can relax in.
Do you know what could make this room more soothing?
Scented candles!
Light some up and enjoy a refreshing aromatic experience.
